Izmir, Turkey – December 2, 2024 – The Philippine Robotics National Team, led by Mylene Abiva, National Organizer of the World Robot Olympiad Philippines and President/CEO of FELTA Multi-Media Inc., has proudly secured the Bronze Award for Future Engineers at the prestigious and longest running Robotics international event ,World Robot Olympiad (WRO) Finals TURKEY held from November 25 to December 2, 2024, in Izmir, Turkey.
Represented by the talented students of Batangas State University – Integrated School, John Angelo M.Bautista and Joseph Bernard A. Maala , the team showcased their innovative skills and engineering prowess in a global competition with over 3,600 participants (562 teams) from over 87 countries.
Another team, from DepEd -Bohol, San Jose National High School -Talibon garnered the 8th place for Future Innovators – Junior High School Category . Their project, which used Algae to generate Carbon Dioxide emission focused on solving real-world engineering challenges through robotics, impressed judges and audiences alike, demonstrated the ingenuity and dedication of young Filipino ingenuity.

I am honored to be the Head Judge for Future Innovators – JHS Category and announced the Technology Solution Award for Kazakhstan during the WRO Turkey Awarding Ceremony.
Ambassador Henry Bensurto, Ambassador of the Philippines to Turkey gave his full support by traveling 7 hours from Ankara , Turkey to meet the Philippine Robotics National team . He was amazed with the robotics inventions and technical knowhow of the students.
The World Robot Olympiad is an annual competition that aims to inspire students to engage in education and careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) through robotics technology. The Philippine Robotics National Team has consistently brought victory for the Philippines for over 20 years and demonstrated exceptional talent and innovation, making significant strides in the global Robotics community.
