The Intramuros Administration, in collaboration with the Royal Danish Embassy in Manila, and Felta Multimedia, Inc., re launched the iMake History Fortress at the Baluarte de Santa Barbara, Fort Santiago last April 12,2023. The facility is the first history-based LEGO Education center in the world which opened March 19,2018.
iMake History Fortress showcased winners of Architecture Scale Model Competition wherein a number of universities and colleges in the country built scale models of prominent Intramuros landmarks to promote the built heritage of the Walled City. The second floor features LEGO Philippine sites, fauna and the first and only LEGO Robot Philippine Eagle.
The adaptive reuse of the Baluarte de Santa Barbara will serve as a venue for visitors especially the youth for them to discover how Lego materials can be used as model for architecture/ building, early engineering, history, and incorporating computer programming such as the Philippine eagle on display made from Lego materials with robotics. A permanent exhibition. No extra fees for entrance.
FELTA President/ CEO Mylene Abiva is the Curator of iMake History Fortess . The Re Launch event was graced by the presence of new Intramuros Administrator Atty . Joan Padilla, COMELEC Chairman George Garcia, Royal Danish Embassy officials, government representatives with Media Corps of Tourism Promotions Board and Philippine Information Agency.
