The FLL World Championship Robotics Competition is the largest event featuring Robot research and projects based on real life world issues. This year, it is TRASH TREK. The Philippine Robotics Team represented by Dr. Yangas Colleges Inc. won the 3rd Place for Best Project Research, their robot is a Biogas and Illumination Yielding Operative (B.I.Y.O.) that converts food waste into electricity and lights up lamp posts. The Philippines bested 105 teams from 40 countries plus 50 U.S. States. Over 30,000 teams compete worldwide and only the best represent their country in the FLL World Championship Robotics Competition that was held in St, Louis, MO, USA last April 26-May 2, 2016. Dr. Josette Biyo, Director -Science Education Institute was included in the Philippine delegation.Congratulations ! Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!
