I extend my warmest greetings to all the participants of this year’s World Robot Olympiad which the Philippine government is very much happy to host. 

The WRO aims to bring together young robotics scientists from all over the world to develop their creativity and problem-solving skills through computer technology, basic engineering, mechatronics, and communications.  Likewise, it will be another challenge for both local and international robotics experts to show the world that they can be the best.

Hosting the WRO gives the Philippines the chance to showcase itself as an international conference site and tourist destination.   More importantly, the WRO is an effective way to enhance the interest of the youth in science and technology.

The Philippine government is very excited to spearhead this year’s WRO.  We look forward to the arrival of students, coaches, mentors and parents from 20 countries all over the world as we prepare for this very big event.  We look forward as well to the support of media in covering this event and disseminating to the populace.
